- Walk Middle Ke’ei Road and Painted Church Road
- Relax at South Kona’s only sand beach at Hookena Beach Park
- Enjoy a massage and hottub at Mamalahoa Hot Tubs or massage at Kathryn’s Place
- Hang out by the poolside or on our comfy lanai with a good book
- Picnic at Puuhonua O Honaunau’s picnic area in the back of the park and enjoy a scenic stroll along the Kings Trail
Get Close to Nature
- Kayak, hike or horseback ride to Kaawaloa – a preserved archeological and historical site and world class snorkeling
- Enjoy more world class snorkeling at Honaunau Bay
- Experience the living coffee farm tour at Greenwell Historical Farm and Museum and Kona Historical Society
- Learn about Hawai’ian plants and ahapua’a (ancient Hawaiian land divisions from mountain to sea) at Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden
- Worship at the Kahikolu Congregational Church, 185 years of awe-inspiring history, also enjoy unforgetable services.

- Mi’s Italian Bistro – Our newest South Kona gem! Homemade pastas with delicious toppings, lasagna of the day, delicious appetizers and desserts, one-of-a-kind fresh catch dishes, lunch and dinner, reservations necessary.

- South Kona Fruit Stand – stop in to pick up a wide array of exotic fruits, dried fruits, nuts, coffee and more.
- Coffee Shack Deli – breakfast and lunch. Call ahead to order a delicious sandwich for take-away or enjoy a casual meal in with their absolutely stunning view of the Honaunau Valley
- Aloha Angel Café – Historical Aloha Theatre and home to the café. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Teshima’s Fine Foods – a delightful family style japanese/american restaurant. A local favorite, simple, good food, great service, family operation, bring cash.
- Manago Hotel – another local favorite. Good ‘ol home cookin’ in a very simple environment. Get there early because dinner is over by 7:30pm.
- Namaste Tea House and Gallery – Just opened! Lunch Fare! Serving delicious drinks, world class gelato, authentic Indian Curry, sandwiches and featuring local art and gifts.
